For Ashley Babb, owner of Paris Glam, true beauty is found in a “spitfire” girl named MiKyla Pickering.

cancer“MiKyla was diagnosed with ALL (Leukemia) at the age of 9. After battling through many treatments and going into remission and the cancer coming back, MiKyla passed away at the age of 11. MiKyla has shown me SO much beauty in life. I nannied MiKyla, along with her sister and brother, for many years prior to her diagnoses. She was a little spitfire full of energy! During her years battling cancer, she showed me what true beauty was and still continues to do so every day!
“Right before MiKyla passed away, we went to watch her sing at her church. She was supposed to be singing an older hymn that day but right before church she told her coach she wanted to sing The More I Seek You. This song gave me chills because of the lyrics to this song:

The more I seek you,The more I find you

The more I find you, the more I love you

I want to sit at your feet
Drink from the cup in your hand.
Lay back against you and breathe, feel your heart beat
This love is so deep, its more than I can stand
I melt in your peace, its overwhelming

“This song has spoken volumes to me and still creates memories with her even though she isn’t here with us on earth anymore.  She knew it was her time, she chose this song for a reason.
“It was MiKyla’s mom who founded and opened Paris Glam; I ran the store for her since we opened inscripture 2006. After MiKyla passed away, MiKyla’s mom offered me the store, in which I knew it was my purpose! When MiKyla passed, I had never felt so much peace in my life, it is indescribable. I knew, God was using her for good in this world and I was overjoyed I was able to be apart of this good. We are now a Christian based company offering many services to the public in which we pray God uses us to reach people for Him daily!”
Ashley, thanks so much for sharing MiKyla’s beautiful story with us. Because of you, and her loved ones, her story continues.
